Congratulations! You are now in your third trimester.

That was the email I got the day after Cate was born. Cate was born at 27 weeks, 6 days--one day shy of 28 weeks. So I never quite made it to the third trimester. Today I am 28 weeks pregnant. So for the first time I have reached the third trimester. Weird. This was our first goal. Our next goal is to make it to Cate's birthday--Halloween, which would put me at 32 weeks. Our dr appt on 9/14 with the perinatologist went very well. The baby actually grew. She was in the 15th percentile at the previous appt. On 9/14 she was in the 21st. We weren't expecting that at all. Even the dr seemed surpised. She weighed in at 1 lb, 12 oz--one ounce more than what Cate weighed when she was born. My blood pressure has stayed low as well. All good signs. Hopefully things keep looking up. I go back to see him on 10/6.

Cate is doing great. She is happy 95% of the time. Such a sweet girl. We're working on tummy time and getting her trunk a little stronger. That is her weak area. They say tummy time is supposed to start at birth. Well Cate had quite awhile that she missed out on. I would say it wasn't even possible to attempt that for her first 5 or 6 months. Anyway, she's coming along quite fine. She'll be on the floor for quite awhile before she gets frustrated. Then she'll start grumbling and moaning, but when she looks over at me she gives me the biggest smile. She doesn't realize I'm the one that has put her there. Cate is now 15 lb, 6 oz at 11 months. We have to really work to get her to eat. She would prefer going without. She sure didn't take after her mom or dad in that respect. Everyone said that it would get better soon. It really has.

Thanks for your prayers and thanks for checking in on us. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.
