2 Pounder Club
Cate has now made the 2 pounder club in the NICU! She is up to 5 cc's an hour on feedings, and they are fortifying her milk, which will add some calories (and hopefully weight). Not a lot of news to share today (which is good). She is doing really well. They have lowered her vent settings just a little. She has been sleeping most of the day. She's pooping and her settings are all looking good. Hopefully it stays that way. She had her first bath last night after we left. The nurses say she loved it. She must take after her mom. :)

Sounds like she is doing good. It is so good to see you holding her.
It is wonderful that you are able to hold her and the pictures are great! I can not believe she is already 2 weeks old and doing so well! Our girls were only there for 2 weeks but that was long enough to know how wonderful the staff is there. After this you will never want to smell Purell again!

Congratulations Jane & Duke on your precious Cate Perfect! I am an old friend and classmate of Cate's name sake. She emailed me the news and your website. I check and read it daily. Thank you for the postings. We are so thankful that Cate is doing better and gaining strength and weight! The pictures are wonderful! She is so beautiful! We pray for all of you and may God continue to keep Cate in his care as well as the NICU staff. God Bless.
I'm so happy to read all of the good news and see pictures of Cate snuggling up to you guys. Just don't let her become the bully of the NICU now that she's a two-pounder! I wish you and your sweet girl continued good days!

Grandma Dickerson has Cate's picture proudly displayed at school. I bet Cathy takes a few "sick" days from school this year to babysit her granddaughter. It is Great news to hear that Cate is getting good milk intake.. That means that you had better get some rest now, because when Cate gets home she will be expecting to eat every 3 or so hours (which includes the middle of the night). Your little angel arrived before Christmas, but God must have wanted to give you your special gift early. Congratulations on your new addition to the family. Theresa Leber
