This morning when I walked into Cate's room she had a new i.v. in. They have it in her head. Her pretty little head. So sad. The nurse said she was angry/mad most of the night. Her heartrate was high and she was satting low (her O2 was low). They gave her some ativan to calm her down, and then she was doing better. The x-rays looked good. They stopped ordering her CPTs (percussion treatments to get stuff out of her lungs). They are not ready to take her off the vent yet. The dr said he thinks if they took her off today they would probably have to put her right back on. They lowered her vent settings a little bit more, and the hope is that they will be able to get her off by Wednesday. They keep testing her and she is doing okay, but needs to do a little better to come off the vent. They have upped her feedings to 6 cc's an hour. All in all a pretty good day. :)

At one point Elijah had an IV in his head, too, and I didn't like it. :( Hopefully they will be able to put it somewhere else very soon.

I had a really vivid dream about Cate last night. It was awesome! She was such a little peanut, but she was doing great. She had really blonde hair with a bowl haircut. :) She LOVED music. Jayne, you were playing the flute for her, and she was just loving it. Every time you stopped, she would scowl at you. Then when you started playing again she would get the biggest grin and her whole face would light up. Someone else was there playing the guitar, but I don't know who it was. It was such a happy, vivid dream, so I thought I'd share it with you guys.

Hugs to you all...xoxoxo

Hey Guys! It made me sad to hear that little Cate had to have an IV in
her head. You all are so strong! I never had to see my daughter
like that and I really don't know how I'd handle it. It's great to hear
that her feedings are increasing. Take care...

Hey Jayne and Duke, I stopped by to see Den at the hospital and I'm so glad Cate is doing better. Mason and Mitchell are keeping me updated. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Love you guys.
